John W. Furrh
John’s constant objective is to improve the company’s performance and service to its clients. He analyzes and reviews everything that is going to get to the customer, to make sure it is right for them and their operation. John is our lead instructor.
He came from the chemical manufacturing industry and serviced hundreds of companies in the metal finishing industry. His service was provided to many of the New England General Electric Plants, weapons manufacturing, aerospace, and metal fabrication industries. He designed, manufactured, and installed chemical process and storage tanks and turn key systems for processing and chemical waste treatment.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry and coordinating OSHA and environmental compliance, he left the manufacturing industry to start a safety consultant company in 1989.
Paul's background includes over 10 years of safety experience in the shipbuilding and repair industry. His other expertise includes hoisting/crane and equipment operation and has a CDL in the Transportation industry.
As our Senior Instructor since 2015, he conducts training in RTK, Forklift/Hoisting/Crane Safety, MA State License Prep & CEU's for Class 1, 2, and 3, DOT Hazardous Materials Shipping and Function Specific, Hazwoper, Defensive Driving, Lockout/Tagout, Bloodborne Pathogens and Drug/Alcohol Training.
He also assists our clients at their facilities with thorough inspections pertaining to OSHA, fire safety and environmental compliance, SDS maintainence, as well as signage and labeling.
His certifications include: MA Registered Third Party Right-to-Know Instructor, MA Dept. of Public Safety Continuing Education Instructor, OSHA Outreach Trainer for Martitime and Construction, Accident Investigation, OSHA Record Keeping, Marine Straddle Lift Safety, Rigger and Inspector for Level 1 Rigger, Competent Person for Frame Scaffolding/ Lynn Ladder, and Hazwoper, RCRA and DOT Hazardous Materials Shipping.
Gary's background includes over 25 years in the Fire Service working as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic. His other expertise includes sales and inventory management in the auto parts, plumbing and heating fields. Gary worked as the Emergency Medical Coordinator for an ambulance service for over 5 years, where he was responsible for compliance in the areas of department training, including CPR and ACLS yearly and regional updates. Gary was also involved in the bidding, selection and design of fire apparatus, ambulance and medical devices and equipment.
He joined our team as an Instructor in 2018 and has been assisting our clients at their facilities to stay in compliance by conducting training, thorough inspections pertaining to OSHA, fire safety and environmental compliance, SDS maintenance, as well as signage and labeling.
His certifications include: American Heart Association CPR Instructor, National Registry Paramedic and Massachusetts Firefighter 1 & 2 certification.
Susan is a proud graduate of Johnson and Wales University with over 30 years' experience in the Hospitality industry. She has a strong customer service and health & safety background. As the sales associate she is focused on managing the needs of each client on an individual basis.
She is currently working on getting her Certified Professional - Food Safety (CP-FS) Credential to add to her other degrees and certifications.
Education and Certifications Include: A.A.S Culinary Arts Degree, Johnson & Wales University, Certified BarCode National Restaurant Association, Nation Education Foundation, ServeSafe Food Protection Manager Certified, National Restaurant Association, Allergen Certified HACCP Certified, National HACCP Alliance Certified, Holistic Health Coach, Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and Person-Centered Dementia Care Certification, Alzheimer’s Association.
